Wedding Response Card Wording Ideas
There is no magic formula of how to craft the perfect wedding response card. In addition to obtaining the basic wedding RSVP information,
you may want to include some of the following information in your response card design:
- For an accurate count, include a blank asking for the number that will be attending.
- It has become more common that some will attend the ceremony and even fewer will attend the reception.
Help your planning and your budget by including something like:
“___ will be attend the ceremony”
“___ will be attend the reception”
- Though you want to leave distinct blanks or boxes for key information, you may want to leave some free space
your guest to write a custom message. You’d be surprised how helpful and enjoyable some of these messages can be.
- Some guest may not write their names or write so poorly that you cannot determine who responded. Solve this problem
by putting a secret number on the back of each card or envelope. That way, you will know for sure who responded.
- Should you want to limit the number of guests your invited guests bring, you may want to address this in your response card.
For example, to limit someone to bringing only one other guest, include a line where you can specify
how many total guests from that party may attend. For example:
“__ of 2” guests will be attending the ceremony”
Where you write in the “2” or whatever number you think is most acceptable.
