Photo Tips
Prepare the Scene: Choose a brightly lit location and cover with a light colored blanket.
A sofa works well! Dress your baby in light colored plain clothing and lay on blanket. Place hands close
to face but not overlapping. Fill in any dark areas with light, especially around the face and hair.
Camera Tips: It is best to use a camera with a zoom lens. Stand back and zoom in on your
baby. Please leave enough room around your baby for cropping. In the final image, your baby's head should
be larger than the size of a quarter.
Digital Camera Tips: If using a digital camera, use the Highest Quality setting
possible. When saving the photo to your computer choose a High Quality JPEG option. Our minimum image
size is 800 x 1200 pixels.
Do's:
- Natural light works best!
- A textured light colored blanket works well for a background.
- Dress your baby in light colored clothing.
- Clear away clutter in the background.
- Leave space on all sides of the baby's head for cropping.

Dont's:
- Avoid dark or patterned fabrics especially around the head and hair.
- Avoid placing your baby in car seats.
- Avoid pacifiers and lots of toys in the photo.
- Avoid cropping into the head or hands of your baby.

Submitting Photos
Upload Your Photos: During the order process, you will be prompted to upload a file from your computer. This is the preferred method as it immediately attaches the photo to your digital order.
Emailing Photos: Email your photos to: photos@celebrationcottage.com. Please include your name,
product code and number the
photos in order of preference
within your email.
Postal Mailing Photos: Please send 2-4 sharply focused photos (at least 3.5 x 5) with
your preferences numbered on the back. We always try to use your first choice photo, but will notify
you if another choice will work better. Please do not send polaroids or prints from ink jet printers. Click here for mailing address.
Professional Photos: We require a written photo release from the photographer in order
to use your professional photo.
Photograph(s) returned: All your photographs will be returned to you with your order.
Please gently write your name on the back of the photo with a black pen.
